Ropesh Kamal Ramlochan a.k.a Mr Doll hails from Princes Town, South Trinidad.
During his early teenage years, Mr Doll was extremely fascinated with Soca, Reggae and
Techno music. Pop, Hip Hop, R & B, and Electro Music were also some of the genres of
music that appealed to him. Mr Doll was always interested in fusion-type music. He
began composing his own songs, lyrics, and melody in his teenage years, highly
influenced by these genres of music. At this time, songs were only in his head and he
sang them whenever he could. It was this very interest in these types of music that
has led him to the style of singing and songwriting he practices today.
In the year 2000, Mr Doll became involved in a local fusion band called Kross Kulture.
This provided him with the experience and confidence that he needed in order to make a
breakthrough to the local music industry. He was teamed up alongside other great names
in Trinidad including Shammi Salickram and Nigel Salickram.
Mr Doll recorded his first single, “Hot Dis Year” in the year 2004 which was a fusion of

Trinidad had good reviews. Continuing his work with Nigel Salickram, the duo
released two additional tracks, entitled “Ged On”, a Reggaeton track followed by “Party
Time”, a Rock Song. Mr Doll continued to work on single tracks as well and released a
track in 2007 entitled “Ramp Here” which was a Reggaeton track and was also released
